Medak faces LPG shortage as residents queue for cylinders ahead of Dasara. Strike disrupts supply, raising questions on planning and basic services.

Medak is once again witnessing the failure of basic services, this time with an LPG shortage that has forced residents to stand in long queues for cylinders. For four days, customers who booked gas through Bharat Gas agency have not received deliveries. The crisis deepened after a strike by truck owners disrupted supply, leaving families anxious as the Dasara festival approaches.

While agency officials have promised that stocks will return in a couple of days, such excuses highlight the lack of proper backup planning. Residents should not have to suffer repeated shortages of essential items like gas and urea. The government must step in to ensure uninterrupted supply and protect people from last-minute panic and inconvenience.
