The Telangana government is set to strengthen its healthcare system by filling 1,623 specialist doctor vacancies. Of these, 1,616 posts are in hospitals under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad, and 7 are in RTC hospitals.

Applications will be accepted from September 8 to 22. Once recruited, these doctors are expected to boost medical services in district and area hospitals as well as community health centres, bringing specialist care closer to people in rural areas.

This comes as part of the Revanth Reddy government’s ongoing effort to improve public health infrastructure. Around 8,000 positions have already been filled in the department, with another 7,000 recruitments currently underway.
