Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said the state will introduce a new law to curb hate speech against religions, with stricter punishment for acts that provoke communal unrest.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday announced that the state government will introduce fresh legislation aimed at curbing hate speech against any religion or community.

Speaking at the state-organised Christmas celebrations in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said the proposed law would specifically target acts of provocation, instigation and speech that could disturb communal harmony.
