Telangana SIR: Over 73 Lakh Voters Deleted, Hyderabad Records Highest Count
Telangana’s draft electoral roll shows over 73 lakh voter deletions after SIR, with Hyderabad recording the highest number at more than 19.4 lakh.
Telangana’s electoral roll has seen a major reduction following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), with 73,39,235 voters deleted from the draft list. Hyderabad recorded the highest number, accounting for 19,41,444 deletions.
The state had 3.38 crore voters on June 10, 2026, but the draft roll now lists around 2.65 crore, a decline of 21.70%.
Most deletions were attributed to voters who had permanently shifted, followed by those reported absent or untraceable and deceased voters. Some were also removed after being found enrolled in another constituency.
Among Hyderabad constituencies, Jubilee Hills recorded the highest number of deletions. Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri followed Hyderabad among districts with large-scale deletions, while Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri recorded the lowest.
