Rebel BRS MLAs Strategise with Revanth Reddy Amid Speaker’s Action
Hyderabad: Nine of the ten BRS turncoat MLAs, facing disqualification proceedings, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence on Sunday to chalk out legal and political strategies.
The meeting, attended by Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and D. Sridhar Babu, lasted over an hour. Sources said the MLAs were advised to respond promptly to the Speaker’s notices.
Except for Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari, all others were present. Jogulamba Gadwal MLA B. Krishnamohan Reddy has already replied, claiming he remains with the BRS and has not defected.
The Speaker issued notices following the Supreme Court’s directive in July to decide on disqualification petitions against the 10 MLAs within 90 days.
