Old City to Get Passport Seva Kendra at MGBS Metro Station from Sept 16
Hyderabad: The Old City will soon have its own Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), with operations set to begin at the MGBS Metro Station on September 16.
The new facility, the first PSK to be located inside a metro station, will make passport services more accessible for residents of South Hyderabad, who earlier had to travel long distances to centers in other parts of the city.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi announced the development on X, saying it fulfils a longstanding demand of Old City residents. The initiative was first assured by the late former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj after Owaisi’s request.
With this addition, Hyderabad will have four PSKs — in Ameerpet, Begumpet, Tolichowki and now the Old City — while Telangana as a whole will have five.
