Hyderabad: The Telangana government has assigned Mohammad Safiullah, Director Secretary of the Telangana Urdu Academy, the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Telangana State Haj Committee.
The post had been vacant since the retirement of former CEO Sajjad Ali. A memo issued by the Minority Welfare Department, signed by Secretary Mohammad Shafiullah (IFS), confirmed the decision.
With this appointment, Safiullah will now oversee both the Urdu Academy and the Haj Committee, ensuring continuity in leadership and smoother coordination between institutions functioning under the Minority Welfare Department.
Officials believe this move will strengthen administrative efficiency, while also ensuring that community-focused initiatives related to language, culture, and pilgrimage are better integrated under experienced leadership.
