Telangana plans to integrate revenue, registration and survey services under the Bhu Bharati Portal to deliver faster, transparent and citizen-friendly land governance.

The Telangana government is set to consolidate key land-related services by bringing the Revenue, Registration and Survey departments onto a single digital framework linked to the Bhu Bharati Portal, Revenue, Housing and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced on Tuesday. The integrated system, aimed at improving transparency and speed in land administration, is expected to be opened to the public by January.

The announcement followed an unannounced inspection by the minister at the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) office in Nampally, after which he reviewed departmental functioning with senior officials. During the meeting, he instructed officers to upgrade office infrastructure on corporate-style standards and ensure noticeable improvements in public service delivery.

Under the unified portal, citizens and farmers will be able to view comprehensive land records through a single Aadhaar-linked mobile login. Services such as registration details, mutation status, market values, Record of Rights (ROR), village and survey maps, nala information and grievance feedback will be accessible online. The government also plans to introduce a dedicated digital map for every survey number and roll out standardised designs for new Tahsildar offices across Telangana.

If implemented effectively, the Bhu Bharati integration could significantly reduce disputes, delays and middlemen in land transactions. However, its success will depend on accurate data migration and digital literacy support for rural users, especially small farmers who rely heavily on land records.
