Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday paid tribute to the historic Sakala Janula Samme, describing it as the decisive people’s movement that carried the demand for a separate Telangana to Delhi.

Marking 14 years of the strike, KTR said the 42-day protest brought together every section of society under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He recalled how students, employees, and citizens participated fearlessly, raising the slogan “Aur Ek Dhakka… Telangana Pakka.”

Calling it a “powerful expression of people’s aspiration,” KTR thanked all those who stood united in 2011 and said their struggle paved the way for the formation of Telangana.
