Hyderabad, August 18: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday slammed the Telangana government over poor sanitation across the state. He attributed the situation to a lack of coordination between the municipal and health departments.

KTR alleged that Hyderabad and other towns are reeking with sewage water and piled-up garbage, painting a grim picture of urban sanitation. Taking a jibe at the Congress government, he dubbed it a “Trash Government.”

In a post on X, the former minister said, “This rainy season, seasonal diseases are rampant, and people are facing numerous difficulties. Government and private hospitals are overcrowded with patients.”

The Sircilla MLA further recalled that under the previous BRS government, coordination meetings between the municipal department, GHMC, and health officials were held at least two months before the monsoon to proactively tackle seasonal diseases. “However now, such measures are nowhere to be seen,” KTR added.
