Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari dismisses rumours of stepping down, says he will wait for the Speaker’s decision before future action. Urges Congress workers to ensure the party flag is raised in every village ahead of local body elections.

In a bid to quell speculation, Station Ghanpur MLA and former Telangana deputy chief minister Kadiyam Srihari on Monday categorically denied rumours claiming he was preparing to resign. Speaking at a workers’ meeting in Jangaon district, Srihari clarified that he would not step down and would await the Speaker’s ruling before considering further decisions.

Countering media chatter, he remarked, “I am not resigning. My next steps will depend on the Speaker’s verdict.” Emphasising his standing within the party, he described himself as a "political brand" built on integrity and claimed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy holds him in high regard due to his straightforward approach. He credited this rapport for the developmental funds allocated to his constituency.

Shifting focus to upcoming local body elections, Srihari urged party cadre to mobilise aggressively at the grassroots level. “The Congress flag must be hoisted in every gram panchayat,” he told workers, signaling a push to consolidate the party’s presence before the polls.

With political dynamics in Telangana shifting rapidly, Srihari's remarks appear aimed at stabilising his support base and sending a message of resilience.
