Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert till September 3 for Telangana, warning of heavy monsoon rains, thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls due to a low-pressure area.

Weather expert T. Balaji predicted intense downpours on August 31 and September 1, with another low-pressure system likely after September 11 that could trigger fresh flooding rains.

In Hyderabad, IMD has forecast moderate to heavy evening showers with gusty winds, though no specific alert has been issued for the city. Residents have been advised to plan travel cautiously.
