Heavy security with over 3,000 police personnel deployed in Hyderabad for Milad-un-Nabi on Sept 14. Police warn against DJs, stunts, and violations of timings.

Hyderabad: The city will witness massive security arrangements for the Milad-un-Nabi processions on Sunday, September 14, with more than 3,000 police personnel deployed across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda. Authorities have placed the city on high alert to ensure peaceful conduct of the religious event.

The main procession, organised by the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee, will begin at Makkah Masjid, Charminar, after Zahoor prayers and move through Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Madina Building, Salarjung Museum, Mandi Mir Alam, and Etebar Chowk before concluding at Moghalpura. Additional processions are planned from Falaknuma, Misrigunj, and Charminar towards different parts of the city.

To prevent disturbances, the police have stationed pickets at key mosques and prayer sites, with Rapid Action Force (RAF) and other special units deployed at sensitive locations like Charminar, Moosa Bowli, Puranapul, Nagulchinta, and Shahalibanda.

Officials have strictly instructed organisers to adhere to allotted timings. Youth have been urged not to engage in bike stunts or unruly celebrations. Use of DJ systems has been banned, and violators will face strict action.

With large gatherings expected, the ban on DJs and the emphasis on discipline reflect the police’s intent to balance religious freedom with public safety. The extra vigilance at Old City hotspots also shows lessons learned from past events.
