Hyderabad: Already struggling to secure urea amid shortages, farmers across several districts now fear that the fertiliser applied to their fields could be washed away by the relentless rains pounding the State over the past few days.

Farmers, who have been braving downpours, waiting in long queues at Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies, and even staging protests on roads to procure urea, worry that their hard-fought efforts may be wasted as heavy rains continue.
