Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are set to receive heavy rains over the next three days due to a low-pressure system, the IMD has warned.

In Telangana, several districts may witness intense rainfall of 80–100 mm, while Hyderabad is likely to see moderate showers from Tuesday lasting three to four days.

North coastal Andhra districts—Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and ASR—are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains, with isolated downpours likely in Kakinada and Eluru. On Wednesday, August 27, further heavy showers are forecast in parts of north coastal Andhra.

As Ganesh Chaturthi falls on August 27, the rain may inconvenience devotees visiting pandals and could lead to traffic congestion across major cities.
