<p class="isSelectedEnd">BRS MLA <strong>T Harish Rao</strong> has criticised Telangana Chief Minister <strong>A. Revanth Reddy</strong>, alleging that his recent remarks about farmers were inappropriate and unbefitting of a constitutional office. Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Rao claimed the Chief Minister failed to respond to farmers' concerns over irrigation and instead used offensive language.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The former irrigation minister also accused the state government of deliberately not utilising available Godavari water through the Kaleshwaram project. He defended the project's technical viability, questioned the government's decisions regarding irrigation infrastructure, and rejected allegations of corruption linked to the scheme.</p>
<p>Political exchanges over irrigation are likely to intensify as water availability remains a key issue for farmers across Telangana. Beyond the rhetoric, timely water management and transparent decision-making will be crucial for protecting agricultural livelihoods.</p>
