Raipur: An FIR has been registered against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in Raipur for her alleged “objectionable” remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The complaint, filed by a local resident, accuses her of promoting enmity and threatening national integrity.
In a video from West Bengal’s Nadia district that has gone viral, Moitra is heard saying Shah’s “head should be chopped off” over alleged lapses in curbing infiltration from Bangladesh. The comments drew sharp criticism from BJP leaders.
Delhi BJP MLA Ravinder Singh Negi also lodged a complaint in Delhi, while BJP leaders including Tarun Chugh and UP Minister Sanjay Nishad slammed Moitra, calling her remarks unconstitutional and derogatory.
