BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has stirred a political storm by alleging that several Congress MPs voted in favor of NDA’s Vice President candidate, CP Radhakrishnan, on the instructions of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. According to him, at least three Congress MPs confessed to cross-voting, while claims suggest the number could be much higher, including all eight MPs from Telangana.

If true, these allegations raise serious questions about Congress’s unity and credibility at the national level. Cross-voting in such an important election not only weakens the opposition’s position but also misleads the people who trusted their representatives. The Election Commission and party leadership must address these concerns transparently to protect democratic values.
