Congress Appoints 22 Observers in Telangana, Names Key Leaders for Chhattisgarh & Rajasthan
AICC appoints 22 observers for Telangana DCC president selection; Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Husseni named for Chhattisgarh panel under Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed 22 senior leaders as observers in Telangana to oversee the selection of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents. The move, part of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, took effect on September 23.
AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal confirmed that Congress President approved the proposal for Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
In Telangana, senior leaders like V. Narayansamy, C.P. Joshi, Shakti Sinh Gohil, Benny Behanan, Shobha Oza, B.V. Srinivas, and Rizwan Arshad have been included.
For Chhattisgarh, the panel of 17 observers also features Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Husseni, alongside other senior Congress leaders. Rajasthan too has its own set of appointed observers.
According to the party, these appointments will ensure a transparent, democratic process for DCC president selections and help energise cadres ahead of upcoming political challenges.
