CM Revanth Reddy Unveils Telangana Thalli Statues Statewide During Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy virtually inaugurates Telangana Thalli statues across all district collectorates during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.
In a significant cultural and political moment for the state, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday virtually inaugurated Telangana Thalli statues installed across all district collectorate campuses. The state-wide unveiling was streamed live from the venue of the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 at Bharat Future City, marking a symbolic blend of heritage and futuristic aspirations.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described the coordinated inauguration as a “celebration of Telangana’s identity” and expressed satisfaction that the event was held in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, cabinet ministers, international delegates, and leading industrialists attending the global summit. He extended festival greetings to citizens and dignitaries participating in the event.
Revanth Reddy highlighted that Telangana Thalli represents the spirit and struggles of the people, especially marginalized communities including Dalits, tribals, Adivasis, and minorities. He added that the government draws inspiration from this symbol to push forward its agenda of inclusive development and welfare.
Reflecting on Telangana’s formation, the Chief Minister revisited the historic announcement made on December 9, 2009, when the then UPA government under Sonia Gandhi’s leadership and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh set the process of statehood in motion. He said the declaration restored dignity and hope to millions who had long waited for a separate state.
The government later designated December 9 as Telangana Thalli Avatarana Day, commemorating the aspirations of generations whose six-decade struggle led to the creation of the state. The annual celebration, he said, serves as a reminder of Telangana’s collective resolve.
Revanth Reddy noted that last year the government inaugurated the first statue at the new Secretariat, and that this year’s extensive rollout across all districts marks another milestone. “The dream of a self-governed Telangana is no longer an aspiration it is our reality. Today, Telangana stands firm as a leading state in welfare, development, and governance,” he affirmed.
