New Delhi: Regional parties declared a record income of ₹2,532 crore in FY 2023-24, a 45.7% jump from the previous year, according to an ADR analysis. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led the list with ₹685.5 crore, followed by TMC (₹646.3 crore), BJD (₹297.8 crore), TDP (₹285.1 crore) and YSR Congress (₹191 crore).

ADR noted that over 70% of regional parties’ funds came via electoral bonds, with just 10 parties accounting for nearly all such donations. The report also flagged delays in submission of audit reports, with 20 parties missing deadlines.
