Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Ashok Nagar on Thursday, September 11, after BRSV activists were detained while demanding a TGPSC Group 1 re-exam. Protesters at the central library sought the resignation of the commission chairman, alleging large-scale irregularities.

Videos on social media showed activists being bundled into police vehicles. BRS leaders including Harish Rao and KTR slammed the Congress government, accusing it of “playing with students’ lives” and demanded a transparent re-exam.

The opposition also hit out at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that unfulfilled job promises and exam mismanagement had betrayed lakhs of unemployed youth in Telangana.
