Asaduddin Owaisi thanks Seemanchal voters after AIMIM secures 5 seats in Bihar elections
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expresses gratitude to Seemanchal residents after winning five Bihar Assembly seats, vows to continue raising their voice and visit regions where the party didn’t win.
AIMIM president and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has extended heartfelt thanks to voters from the Seemanchal region after his party secured five seats in the Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a public gathering in Jokihat, Kishanganj, he termed the verdict a “blessing from Allah” and thanked supporters for showing unwavering confidence in AIMIM.
Owaisi said that the respect shown by the people of Seemanchal will remain unforgettable and promised to continue championing the region’s concerns at every platform. He added that the election results sent a powerful signal to the nation, suggesting that marginalised voices, if united, hold the strength to influence change — echoing hopes for similar impact in Uttar Pradesh.
Calling on local AIMIM representatives to maintain dedication towards public service, he noted, “If you work for people today, Allah will bless you with success.” Owaisi emphasised that a united Seemanchal stands strong without needing support from external political forces, adding, “Today, others have lost their sleep.”
Admitting that errors may have occurred, he said, “We are human; we make mistakes. We may be guilty, but not traitors.” He pledged to rectify shortcomings and safeguard the mandate, reassuring that he would visit not only Seemanchal again but also areas where AIMIM did not win.
In a subtle reference to the RJD, he criticised those who once received his support yet undermined him. During the 2020 state polls, AIMIM had initially won five seats in Seemanchal, but four later shifted to RJD.
This statement reflects Owaisi’s intent to consolidate regional influence ahead of future contests. Such outreach may energise grassroots supporters, especially in politically sensitive belts like Seemanchal. However, maintaining unity among elected representatives will be crucial to avoid repeat defections, as seen post-2020 results.
