Air India flight makes emergency landing in Delhi after engine fire alert

New Delhi: An Indore-bound Air India flight (AI2913) returned to Delhi on Sunday morning after the cockpit received a fire warning in its right engine shortly after takeoff. The A320neo aircraft, carrying over 90 passengers, landed safely at around 6:15 am.
Air India said the crew shut down one engine as a precaution and followed standard emergency procedures. The aircraft has been grounded for inspection, while passengers are being accommodated on an alternate flight to Indore.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been informed about the incident.
